There was a lot of planing involved. A lot. Here my Pops is feeding a slat through the planer.
We made a lot of sawdust in order to get the boards down to the same level as the high parts of the van floor.
Template skills. I am learning them.
About 32 man hours to get to this point.
Subfloor placed over the slats.
I placed heavy tools on top to press the boards flat while the glue dried.
Getting ready to stain the subfloors.
Stained with Thompson's Water Seal.
Rear view of the installed subfloor.
Subfloor in place.
Laid down some carpet to have a nice work surface for the next step in the overall construction.
